One-on-One Personal Training
Personal training is exactly that — it’s personal. Which means it’s all about the most important person … you! Because you’re an individual and therefore unique in all respects, we make sure that your training sessions are designed taking every aspect of your current and past history into account, and will deliver the health outcomes you are looking for.
To achieve this, we start with a full fitness assessment including a functional movement screen, measurements and goal setting with agreed timelines. This information is used by your personal trainer to plan your workouts, provide you with nutritional guidance and guide you through the steps you need to take towards becoming a fitter, healthier and happier you!
Semi-Private Training (Limited to 4 people per session)
Personal training in a small group of up to four people. This is ideal if you enjoy the motivation and social aspect of working out with a small group of people, but are also looking for the benefit of individualised attention that is offered by personal training.
What makes our semis so effective is that we don’t use a ‘cookie-cutter’ approach— your programme is written specifically for you following your first assessment, taking your goals, fitness levels and past history into account. You are guided through your workout by one personal trainer, who spends time with each person in the group. The 45 minute session includes a warm-up, mobiliser, your individualised programme and a finisher.
Tabata (Limited to 10 people per session)
This is the class for you if you want to get rid of back fat, love handles and muffin tops! Earn your shower with this intense training method, which is all about maximising the fat burn. During a typical 45 minute Tabata class you will perform exercises for 20 seconds as hard as you can, then rest for 10 seconds. Different exercises are used so you never get bored. Come in ready to work hard and leave feeling motivated!
Boxing (Limited to 10 people per session)
An all-over cardio and conditioning workout, which will improve your endurance, coordination, core strength and stamina, all while you’re have fun and getting rid of any stress! This awesome 45 minute class combines boxercise and technique work, so that you can punch, kick, knee and elbow your way to ultimate fitness! Our 45 minute boxing classes are great for all ages and fitness levels. Boxing gloves, wraps and glove liners (no smelly gloves at our studio) all supplied!
Core Challenge (Limited to 10 people per session)
A core class with more! This class will help you to develop a strong ‘core’ (or centre) while simultaneously toning your abs, butt and legs. You will develop a stronger body, better posture and improved self-awareness in this 45 minute class, which is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
CB-500 (Limited to 10 people per session)
So named because you can burn up to 500 calories during this boot-camp style workout designed to encourage, not intimidate, you into the best shape of your life. Our 45 minute class will keep you guessing and challenge you using a variety of interval training and strength conditioning methods. Classes are held outdoors at the Maroubra Bowlo (indoors on rainy days) in our private, dedicated training area, meaning no sharing with the hundreds of other bootcamps! Our instructor will stress correct technique, and modify exercises for all ages and fitness levels. Be prepared to work hard whilst having more fun than should be legal for a Bootcamp!
Circuit Fusion (Limited to 10 people per session)
Fire up your metabolism, improve your muscle tone and definition, and improve your cardiovascular fitness with this fun workout! This 45 minute circuit class combines various training styles whilst using a range of equipment, ensuring you get a workout which will challenge and excite you. Because our classes are limited to ten people, you receive the benefit of maximum supervision as well as the fun of small group exercise. If you’re looking for motivation and inspiration, this is the class for you!
Hump Day HIIT (Limited to 10 people per session)
Get over the Hump, burn some fat and rev yourself up for the rest of the week! Designed to push your fitness to the next level, our HIIT classes are 30 minutes in duration and super intense in nature. A typical HIIT class will involve timed intervals and rest periods of differing duration, and the use of a variety of equipment, such as battleropes, kettlebells, Medballs, Dead Balls, bikes, rower and your bodyweight. There may be a number of exercises that involve jumping, so if you have a prior history of joint problems please advise the instructor. This class will leave you sweating, pumped and ready to take on the world!
Kids & Teen Class (11-15 years & 15-18 years. Limited to 8 people per session)
Our Kids & Teens classes aim to introduce young people to a fitness environment. Our confidence-building classes are fun, high energy, encourage positive team and social interaction, and get them moving after a long day spent sitting at their desks! All workouts are scaled and modified to each teen’s personal ability, and introduces them to the basic movement patterns in a carefully structured and supervised class.
The Resistance Movement™ (Limited to 8 people per session)
Be stronger … live longer! An exciting new initiative in the fitness industry, these 45 minute classes are for those aged 65+, designed to improve fitness, strength and wellbeing. Classes are small and cater to the individual, including personalised programmes, shared stories about grandchildren, and music to suit your taste. Join the Resistance — and make sure going underground is a dim and distant thought!
